With the summer transfer window set to re-open there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers, so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Chelsea turn their attention to Robert Lewandowski.

Chelsea have ditched plans to make a £46m move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao and switched their attention to Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski, according to the Express.
Lewandowski has emerged as one of of the hottest striker’s in European football after scoring 74 goals in 132 games since joining Dortmund from Lech Poznan in 2010, and a stunning four-goal salvo against Real Madrid in the semi-final’s of the Champions League two weeks ago further enhance his reputation.
The 24-year-old has just one year remaining on his current contract and has shown no signs that he’s about to sign an extension, leading to question marks over his future at the Westfalenstadion.
The Express claim Chelsea are on the look-out for a marquee striker this summer and have shelved plans to sign long-term target Falcao and turned their attention to the cheaper and younger Lewandowski – who has attracted interest from Man Utd and Bayern Munich in recent months.
However, it now seems that Chelsea have joined the chase and the report claims the west Londoners may try and use on-loan winger Kevin De Bruyne to sweeten the deal for Dortmund, while Jose Mourinho – who’s tipped to return to Stamford Bridge this summer – is also reported to have text Lewandowski urging him to join him at Chelsea this summer.

Lewandowski is preferred by me,he is younger&reasonable in price tag compared to a 27yr old colombian in the region of about 50million pounds,to me it is just another way of money wasted, lewandski is a great asset considering our youth policy,in lewandowski i trust&believe in!the bridge is calling great lad!

Lewando is the answer. He can combine with either Torres or Ba. We don’t need Falcao any more.

I prefer lewandoski to falcao considering the age both of them have to play in their career. The money for falcao should be use to buy new talents like lewy.
