Transfer News: Chelsea Enquire Over £20m-Rated Striker – Chedjou Wants Liverpool Move

Latest transfer rumours. Today, Chelsea have enquired about the availability of Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz and Aurelien Chedjou wants to join Liverpool.

Burak Yilmaz

With the summer transfer window set to re-open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Chelsea have enquired about the availability of Burak Yilmaz and Aurelien Chedjou wants to join Liverpool.

Chelsea eye Yilmaz

First up and the Express claim that Chelsea have enquired over the availability of Burak Yilmaz but Galatasaray have told them the striker will cost £20m this summer.

The Turkish international has enjoyed a sensational debut season with Gala following his move from Trabzonspor last summer, with the 27-year-old scoring 32 goals in 39 appearances last term including 8 in the Champions League .

It seems his impressive form has alerted Chelsea and the Express suggesting the Blues have contacted Galatasaray  over his availability but have been told it will take a bid of £20m to persuade them to sell their star man.

The newspaper claims the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are also tracking the 6 foot 2 inch hitman but in-coming Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be a huge fan of Yilmaz and has asked the club to make a move before he’s even officially announced as Rafa Benitez successor.

Chedjou wants Liverpool move

Next up and the Daily Star carry quotes from Lille centre-half Aurelien Chedjou who says he would love to move to Liverpool this summer. The 27-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season at the back in Ligue 1 but it seems he sees his future elsewhere next season, and has his eyes firmly fixed on a move to Anfield.

“Nothing is done with any club. Yes, I want to move from Lille and get another experience of my life.

“Liverpool could be great – an enormous club with fantastic fans and the Kop to add.” Chedjou is quoted as saying by the Star

Brendan Rodgers is on the look out for a replacement for the retired Jamie Carragher and the Reds have been linked with a whole host of defenders in recent weeks. The Star suggest Chedjou is one of many centre-back’s the club are considering but no official offer has been made for the Cameroonian as yet.

What about Mario Gomez, since he’s of same age with this Yilmaz and he has been playing at top level with a great club like B.Munich I think I prefer him 2 Yilmaz cos playing in lower league$smaller club like Gala is a different ball game entirely compared to Playing in EPL$Chelsea, much respect 2 Gala$Turkish league though.Think Chelsea should go for Gomez.
