Arsenal Set To Rival Spurs With €25m Bid For Brazilian Attacker

Arsenal will go-head-to-head with Tottenham for the signature of Bernard with the Gunners ready to table an offer in the region of €25m for the Brazilian winger

With the summer transfer window now open, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Arsenal are set to table a bid for Spurs target Bernard.

Arsenal will go-head-to-head with rivals Tottenham for the signature of Bernard with the Gunners expected to table an offer in the region of €25m for the Brazilian attacker, according to Brazilian outlet Otempo.

The 20-year-old currently plays for Atletico Mineiro and has attracted interest from throughout Europe after some eye-catching displays for Brazil at this summers Confederations Cup.

The report claims the likes of Tottenham, Porto, Borussia Dortmund and Shakhtar Donetsk have all been linked with a move for the exciting winger, but it seems Arsenal are now ready to steal a march on their rivals by submitting a record offer.

Otempo claim that Arsene Wenger and his scouts have put together an extensive report on the player studying his technical ability as well as off-field behaviour, and following meetings with his representative Giuliano Bertolucci in London, the north Londoners are now ready to submit a €25m offer within the next 10 days.

The report also suggests that a bid of €25m will be accepted by Atletico for the winger and Bernard would be keen to join Arsenal, so this looks like this transfer is certainly one to watch. Tottenham have already raided the Brazilian market with the £17m purchase of Paulinho so it will be interesting to see if they are prepared to match Arsenal reported offer. Either way, it looks as though Bernard could be playing in the Premier League next season with north London a likely destination.

I dont think that Spurs will go head to head for the signature of Bernard as they have already brought in Paulinhio and are well stocked in midfield so dont need another.

I don’t think he’s gonna solve our problems, rather go for Konoplyanka.

Arsene is irredeemably drunk with Wenger-nomics and won’t touch his ‘darling profits’ to sign any such big name players. Am deeply perturbed that ailing Arsenal are plotting to offer new contract to this ‘dick-head’ of a manager. Wenger and his co ‘dick-heads’ like Ivan Gazidis are hell-bent on extending the sceptic rot at the Arsenal – stench, stench! Yuck,ck,ck,ck,ck…….

Absolute hogwash… 20 odd million euro’s for a no-name player, when AW won’t even spend this on a known, world class player. More paper rubbish, and you idiots believe it…. lol

Arsenal fans are being played as usual, why do we have to wait for the last minute before we get quality players. As long as AW still stays as the manager we have no chance of winning anything.

Maybe Arsene Wenger should leave the club to a much determine coach or the club should be sold to big and better spenders. We the fans are tired of the old man’s theory.

Honestly, it may all be speculation and it may not, We need signings in but not to go crazy, I think AW is one of the greats absolutely no doubt about that but it is very difficult and I completely understand fans that are sick and tired of being told one thing and then another happening. At the end of the day though, to the arsenal fans out there, no not you, the REAL Arsenal fans, yes, you. Please just shut up, or get F*CKED with your know nothing attitudes, back seat managers, how many times would we have consecutively been in the CL if you had been at the helm so just pipe down and save it for your missus because shes the only that really listens to you anyway.

(P.S. I have also got to add, that I could probably think of at least 3-4 maybe 5 times that spurs have been noticeably stronger than us in squad depth and quality and we still haven’t relinquished that 4th spot and I am extremely confident that we wont while ‘Mr Burns’ is in charge)
