Liverpool continued their pre-season preparations with a comfortable 2-0 win over Melbourne Victory on Wednesday in front of 95,000 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Skipper Steven Gerrard opened the scoring after cooly slotting home from a pin-point pass from Joe Allen in the first half. Unsettled striker Luis Suarez then came on for the final 20 minutes and set up Iago Aspas for the second after some good work inside the penalty box.
