Latest transfer rumours. Today, Arsenal and Tottenham battle for Spanish wonderkid Alvaro Vadillo and Chelsea and Man Utd are linked with Eliaquim Mangala.

As we enter the final stages of the summer transfer window, there is plenty of gossip doing the rounds in the newspapers so we’ll keep you up-to-date with the latest transfer rumours. Today, Arsenal and Tottenham battle for a Spanish wonderkid and Chelsea and Man Utd are linked with Eliaquim Mangala.

Vadillo heading to north London?

First up and the Mirror are reporting that Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in signing Spanish wonderkid Alvaro Vadillo this summer.

The Real Betis winger has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Spain after breaking into the first team in 2011 aged just 16 – becoming the youngster ever player to play in La Liga.

He’s since gone on to put in some eye-catching displays and it seems his talent hasn’t gone unnoticed in England with the Mirror claiming that both Arsenal and Spurs have sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old ahead of potential moves.

Vadillo has already represented Spain at Under 17, 18 and 20 level and is regarded as a potential star of the future. The newspaper suggests his buy-out fee is £17m but the north Londoners will be hoping to snap him up for cheaper if they decide to make formal moves before the transfer window closes on Monday night.

Chelsea and United eye Mangala

Next up and the Mirror are also reporting that Manchester United have joined Chelsea in showing an interest in Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.

The France international has previously been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge with the report claiming that Jose Mourinho tried to sign him back in June, but it seems they now have competition from United.

The Mirror suggest that David Moyes sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old during Porto’s 3-0 win over Maritimo last weekend and while the Portuguese champions insist he’s not for sale, they might be prepared to do business at £12m.

Moyes is believed to be keen on bringing in a long-term replacement for Rio Ferdinand while he’s also got concerns over the fitness of Nemanja Vidic, and it seems Mangala is under serious consideration.
