Porto winger Christian Atsu is set to undergo a medial on Friday afternoon ahead of a £3.5m move to Chelsea after agreeing terms over a five-year contract, according to Sky Sports News.

The 21-year-old has just one year left on his current deal with Porto and it seems the Portuguese outfit have decided to cash in now rather than risk losing him for nothing in 12 months time.

Reports emerged last week claiming that Chelsea had beaten Liverpool and Spurs to the players signature just days after trumping their rivals to Brazilian attacker Willian.

It seems the speculation has proven accurate with Sky Sports reporting today that the Blues have agreed a £3.5m deal with Porto and Atsu is now set to undergo his medical this afternoon after agreeing terms over a five-year deal.

However, the Ghana international is expected to head straight out on a season-long loan to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem in order to gain further first team experience before coming back to Stamford Bridge next summer to challenge for a first team place.

The report indicates that Victor Moses could also be on his way out of Chelsea before the transfer window closes with West Brom thought to be showing an interest in the Nigerian attacker – who has been left out of the squad for tonight Super Cup against Bayern Munich.
