We’ve just had another pulsating weekend of Premier League football and as usual there were several controversial decisions made by the referees.

At Stamford Bridge we saw Samuel Eto’o get away with cheekily kicking the ball away from Cardiff goalkeeper Scott Marshall as he bounced it on the floor, with Eden Hazard eventually finding the back of the net to make it 1-1. Referee Anthony Taylor admitted after the game he had made a mistake in allowing the goal to stand but that was no comfort for Cardiff boss Malky Mackay who called it a ‘horrendous error’ as the Blues went on to win 4-1.

There were also several contentious decisions in Everton’s 2-1 win over Hull City at Goodison Park while Spurs boss Andre Villa-Boas was disappointed Aston Villa midfielder Ashley Westwood didn’t see red for a late challenge on Lewis Holtby during their 2-0 on Sunday.

More and more focus is being put on the referees performance each week so it’s no wonder fans are keen to know who will be officiating their teams games well in advance.
