Arsenal take on Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night looking to take control of their Champions League group.

Ahead of the game, boss Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference and gave Arsenal.com a team news and injury update with the latest on Jack Wilshere, Serge Gnabry, Theo Walcott, Mathieu Flamini, Kieran Gibbs and Thomas Eisfeld’s fitness.

Midfielder Wilshere missed Saturday’s win over Liverpool with an ankle problem and Wenger confirmed he’ll sit out tomorrow’s clash with Dortmund before having a fitness test on Thursday to see if he’ll be involved against Manchester United on Sunday.

Winger Gnabry has been missing in recent weeks but has been passed fit to travel to Germany while Flamini is in-line to face United this weekend after overcoming a groin problem. Left-back Gibbs was forced off against Liverpool with a minor calf injury but has been passed fit to feature against Dortmund, while there is also good news on Walcott with the attacker expected back after the upcoming international break and Eisfeld has returned to training.

Here’s what the boss told the clubs official website:

on Jack Wilshere…

As you know he has not travelled because he has not practised. I will know more on Thursday when he has another test. If that is not a success he will definitely be out for Sunday, if he is out for Sunday he will be out for England as well.

on other team news…

Gnabry has travelled and is in the squad. Walcott is not far, he should be back soon after the break and Flamini has a good chance to be available on Sunday. Gibbs has travelled and should be available. Eisfield, he was with us this morning in training.
