Arsenal travel north to take on Manchester United on Sunday afternoon looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The Gunners head into the weekend sitting five points clear of Chelsea and a full eight ahead of United, so have the opportunity to not only put a huge dent the in the champions title defence, but also make a real statement of intent that they are genuine title contenders themselves this season.

Ahead of the game, boss Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media and gave Arsenal.com a team news and injury update with the latest on the fitness of Mathieu Flamini and Jack Wilshere.

Flamini has been on the sidelines in recent weeks after injuring his groin against Crystal Palace but was back in training today and Wenger is confident he’ll be in the squad for Sunday’s game.

Fellow midfielder Wilshere was forced to miss the wins over Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund with an ankle injury picked up last week in training, but he was working with the rest of the squad on Friday and his fitness will be assessed before the Arsenal boss makes a decision over his involvement this weekend.
