Manchester United travelled to Germany today in preparation for Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen, and we have the team news.

United head into the game sitting top of Group A – a single point above tomorrow’s opposition – but can secure qualification to the knockout stages if they can pick up all three points.

Ahead of the game, boss David Moyes has been handed mixed injury news. The good news is that Rafael and Phil Jones were both able to take part in training on Tuesday morning and have travelled with the rest of the squad to Germany.

The defenders both missed Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Cardiff City through injury but have trained today and could be in contention to face Leverkusen on Wednesday evening.

However, striker Robin van Persie will miss the clash with a niggling groin problem. The Dutchman also missed the weekend action as well as his countries double-header earlier in the month because of the injury, and he was unable to train today and has therefore been left back in Manchester to continue his rehabilitation.

There is further bad news with captain Nemanja Vidic joining RVP on the sidelines. The Serbian was able to take part in light training today but has not been deemed fit enough to travel and will therefore miss the Leverkusen game.

Marouane Fellaini will also miss out through suspension after being sent off against Real Sociedad last time out in Europe, so Moyes must decide who will fill-in in midfield with Michael Carrick and Darron Fletcher also unavailable.

What would be your starting line-up for the game? Leave your suggestions below.
