Manchester United are in the capital this weekend to take on Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

United head into the game sitting in sixth place in the Premier League table – just a single point above Spurs – following last weekends 2-2 draw with Cardiff City.

The champions warmed up for the clash with a 5-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday despite being without influential duo Robin van Persie and Nemanja Vidic, as well as right-back Rafael and the suspended Marouane Fellaini.

Boss David Moyes has been speaking to the media on Friday afternoon and gave ManUtd.com the latest team news and confirmed that Van Persie, Vidic and Rafael are all in with a chance of featuring against Spurs on Sunday.

When asked about the fitness of RVP and the rest of his injured players, Moyes told the clubs official website:

“They’ve got a chance, they’ve all got a chance.”

The Dutchman has been struggling with a niggling groin injury in recent weeks so his potential return, along with captain Vidic and fellow defender Rafael, will come as a welcome boost to United.

Moyes is confident the best is yet to come from his side and feels they are finally starting to show what they’re capable of after an inconsistent start under him at Old Trafford.

“The best is to come and I still think we can continue to improve and progress,”

“We had some little bits of inconsistency at times, which we need to try to do better with, but there have been moments that have shown we are beginning to come right back into form. That is what I hope. Midweek [against Bayer Leverkusen] certainly showed what we are capable of when we are playing well and the job is to do that week in, week out.”

Both United and Spurs are currently off the pace in the Premier League and could find themselves 10 and 11 points adrift of leaders Arsenal by the time they kick off on Sunday, so defeat for either team could leave them with a mountain to climb to get back in the title race.
