Arsenal are bracing themselves for yet another injury blow with reports suggesting that Theo Walcott is set to be ruled out for four weeks with a knee injury.

The 24-year-old was stretchered off during the final stages of Arsenal’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening after appearing to jar his knee while chasing down a loose ball.

Arsene Wenger had initially hoped the injury was nothing more than the result of a kick, which would have seen the attacker back in action almost immediately.

However, the Telegraph are one of several newspapers who are reporting this morning that the early indications suggest Walcott has strained his knee ligaments and will be ruled out for four weeks.

The England ace is due to have a scan on the injury today to determine the full extent of the problem but if these reports prove accurate, it’s going to be a huge blow to the Gunners Premiership title hopes and could very-well force Wenger’s hand even further to bring in a new striker.

Nicklas Bendtner has also been ruled out for a month with an ankle injury leaving us extremely light up front, so with Walcott set to join him on the sidelines, the boss should really be doing all he can to bring in another striker as soon as possible.

How big a blow will it be to lose Theo? What striker do you think we should sign? Share your views below.
