Serge-Gnabry

Arsenal entertain Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon with the north Londoners looking to cement their position at the top of the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger has a mini injury crisis to deal with for the game, with the Gunners boss confirming a number of his first team squad are unavailable with short-term injuries.

Aaron Ramsey is set to miss the game with a thigh strain, despite media reports during the week suggesting he’s set to return from his three week absence. The Welshman is joined by Mikel Arteta on the sidelines after the Spaniard picked up a calf injury before Monday’s clash with Aston Villa.

The absence of the duo means Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Flamini are almost certain to continue in midfield after both put in excellent display’s last time out.

Wenger will be forced into a change at the back with Nacho Monreal ruled out with an ankle injury, so Kieran Gibbs is set to return to the side. Thomas Vermaelen remains out, so Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker will continue their rock solid partnership at the heart of defence.

There could also be a change in attack with young Serge Gnabry potentially dropping out. He’s started the last two games and we could make way for Lukas Podolski this weekend. Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla should retain their places with Tomas Rosicky expected to miss the game after breaking his nose against Villa.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to be among the subs once again as he works his way back to full fitness following five months on the sidelines.
