Coutinho will be the one to make way if Sturridge starts as Coutinho hasn’t been his best recently and it would be stupid to put Raheem on the bench after his recent performances.

Can’t really see Rodgers dropping Sterling, tho not sure what he’s gonna do. Coutinho is the playmaker so you’d imagine him starting too.
…………..Suarez…..Sturridge
Coutinho…..Henderson..Gerrard…..Sterling
Drop Lucas and play all the attacking talent in a 442?
…………….Suarez
Coutinho………………….Sterling
………..Lucas….Henderson
…………..Gerrard
Or keep it the same as the Stoke game so he has a top player on the bench to change the match if needed? Personally I wouldn’t play Gerrard in that Alonso role again cause he played it pretty badly imo and Villa feed off mistakes in midfield to counter attack. I think our best midfield performance this season was away to Spurs without Gerrard. Allen, Lucas and Henderson playing fantastic and pressed Spurs midfield perfectly.

It’s very important we win this game on our ground. Br Knows how to make the selection. all I care is the three point no matter who plays. But I think sterling deserve another start, he’s doing well.
