WBA vs Liverpool Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups, Key Man + Predicted Score

Liverpool are in the Midlands to take on West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon. Here is a preview with team news, likely line-ups and predicted score.

West-Brom-Albion--The-Hawthorns

Liverpool are in the Midlands to take on West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon looking to close in on the top three.

The Reds head into the game buoyed by the fact that two of their closest rivals dropped points on Saturday with Manchester United losing at Stoke and Tottenham drawing with Hull, so the Merseysiders will be hoping to take full advantage tomorrow.

Brendan Rodgers men will be full of confidence following their 4-0 thrashing of Everton on Tuesday night with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge in top form once again. Another win this weekend will see Liverpool move to within a single point of third-placed Chelsea ahead of their clash with Man City on Monday.

Hosts West Brom will be looking to bounce back following their thrilling 4-3 loss to Aston Villa in midweek, and they head into the game sitting 17th in the table and are only avoiding being in the bottom three because of goal difference, so Pepe Mel will be desperate for a positive result.

Team News

West Brom will have to make do without the services of striker Nicolas Anelka after he picked up a knee injury during the defeat to Villa in midweek. Berahino could come in to replace the Frenchman in attack.

Influential midfielder Stephane Sessegnon is also out as he continues to nurse a groin injury, otherwise Mel has no fresh injury concerns.

Liverpool has injury worries at the back with Glen Johnson ruled out with a series of niggling injuries. Jon Flanagan will continue to deputise at right-back after an impressive outing against Everton.

Rodgers is also without Daniel Agger (calf), Mamadou Sakho (hamstring) and Jose Enrique (knee) while midfielder Lucas Leiva is also out with a knee injury.

The Reds are expected to go unchanged from the side that started on Tuesday.

Key Man

Luis Suarez: The Uruguayan bagged his 23rd of the season in midweek and will certainly be looking to add to his impressive tally this weekend. Can the Baggies stop him? I doubt it….
