Chelsea Star Admits Interest In Joining Real Madrid

Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has fuelled speculation he could move to Real Madrid this summer after admitting he would be interested in joining the La Liga giants.

The January transfer window may have slammed shut but clubs will still be working hard behind the scenes at identifying targets for the summer, so we’ll bring you all the latest news, gossip and rumours. Today, Eden Hazard fuels talk of a move to Real Madrid.

Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has fuelled speculation he could move to Real Madrid this summer after admitting he would be interested in joining the La Liga giants.

The Belgian winger made the admission during an interview with Bein Sport on Sunday and it comes after reports suggested that Madrid were planning on making a move for the player at the end of the season.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have also been strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old and when quizzed by Bein Sport about the duo’s interest, Hazard admitted he would be interested in making a move to the Bernabeu but insists he is happy at Chelsea and there is nothing in the pipeline with PSG.

“Who would not be interested in Real Madrid?”

“Paris Saint-Germain are a great club, but I am currently happy at Chelsea. At the moment there is nothing with PSG, I still have much to do at Chelsea,” Hazard is quoted as saying to Bein Sport

Hazard has been Chelsea’s stand-out player so far this season with his 12 goals and 7 assists in 26 appearances helping the club to the top of the Premier League table and on course to lifting the title.

The Blues paid over £30m to Lille back in 2012 for the attackers services and he still has over three years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, so they aren’t under any pressure to let him go.

Jose Mourinho is clearly a huge fan of the players as well after recently claiming he was the best young player in Europe and even compared him to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, so the Portuguese coach isn’t going to let him leave without a fight.

It’s only natural for a player like Hazard to attract interest from other clubs and while he may be interested in joining the likes of Madrid, I don’t think we’ll see the player being sold by Chelsea any time soon and it would take a ridiculously large offer to even make them think about cashing in.
