Liverpool entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday afternoon with the Reds looking for a win to give there title hopes a huge boost. Here’s our predicted team.

Brendan Rodgers side has been in sensational form of late and won their seventh Premier League game on the bounce with a 2-1 win over Sunderland on Wednesday night, so he’s unlikely to make too many changes.

Mamadou Sakho is fit again and pushing for a recall but Rodgers is unlikely to bring him back in for such an important fixture, so I can see Daniel Agger continuing alongside Martin Skrtel at the back with Glen Johnson and young Jon Flanagan in the full-backs positions.

Lucas Leiva is also back in contention after making a few substitute appearances in recent weeks, but again I don’t envisage the Northern Irishman will split up the partnership of Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson that’s done him so proud over the past few months.

Joe Allen has started in recent weeks but I wouldn’t be surprised if Raheem Sterling was recalled as he had a lot of joy against Spurs during the 5-0 win at White Hart Lane earlier in the season. This would enable Philippe Coutinho to move back into the middle, with Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez making up the deadly attack.

Here’s the side I think we’ll see Rodgers go with this weekend:
