The summer transfer window is now open for business and it’s expected to be a busy few weeks as managers strengthen their squads ahead of next season, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Gooner Mac brings us news on Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are edging ever-closer to the signing of Alexis Sanchez with Mundo Deportivo printing a photo of the attacker at an airport en route to London to undergo his medical on Thursday afternoon.
The Spanish newspaper claims that Sanchez arrived in the UK this morning and is undergoing his medical examinations right now, while other reports suggest it will be at around 4pm this afternoon, but either way the transfer doesn’t look far away from completion unless there is a late glitch.
Some fans had hoped for an announcement ahead of tonight’s official kit launch, which takes place at the curious time of 11pm (UK time). However, BBC journalist David Ornstein suggests Sanchez won’t be confirmed today, so the chances are we’ll have to wait until Friday before anything official comes from the club.
Ornstein also claims that the fee could be in the region of £35m, but Mundo Deportivo are of the opinion that we’ll only pay around €40m (£31.8m) including various add ons.
Whatever the precise fee is, it’s still going to be an excellent deal for a player of Sanchez’s quality and he’s going to be a superb addition to the squad, once he officially becomes a Gooner. The Chilean international has all the qualities we needed to add to our attack this summer – pace, power, experience and a vital goal threat – so fingers crossed there are no problems with the medical and the deal is announced shortly.

WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
Yet another attention seeking, naïve blogger. He is NOT EVEN IN LONDON.
This picture is of Sanchez returning to Barcelona from Brazil after Chile were eliminated from the World Cup. It is a Spanish airport.
Oh and my source? I’m watching Sky Sports News right now. They are reporting that he is NOT even in London, yet.
Do not pass go, do not collect £200
