Van Gaal Hopes To Seal Deal By Friday As Man Utd Get Set To Table Formal €40m Bid

Man Utd are set to table a formal €40m bid for Fiorentina midfielder Juan Cuadrado with the former champions hopeful of wrapping up the deal before this weekend

The summer transfer window is now reaching its climax and managers are working hard to make some last minute additions to their squad, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Manchester United hope to seal a deal for Juan Cuadrado by the weekend.

Manchester United are set to table a formal €40m bid for Fiorentina midfielder Juan Cuadrado with the former champions hopeful of wrapping up the deal before the weekend, according to reports.

United have been strongly linked with a move for the Colombian international in recent months and although Fiorentina are determined to try and hang on to the versatile attacker, it seems the Red Devils are finally ready to make their move.

The Express claim that United are set to make a formal €40m (£32m) offer and although that falls just short of the 26-year-old’s €45m buy-out clause, it’s a figure the Italians are unlikely to be able to resist.

The newspaper suggests that Louis van Gaal is hopeful a deal can be wrapped up in time for Cuadrado to make his debut against Sunderland this weekend. If that’s to be the case, United are going to have to get a move on as the transfer would have to be registered with the FA by Friday lunchtime at the latest in order for the player to be eligible on Sunday.

United have been following Cuadrado for some time but it seems that Saturday’s shock loss to Swansea has forced them into action and the Colombian could soon follow Marcos Rojo in moving to Old Trafford, with the Argentinean arriving in the UK on Tuesday night to complete a €20m move from Sporting Lisbon.

If United are also able to push through a deal for Cuadrado in time, van Gaal’s side could have a very different look when they face Sunderland this weekend. Rojo will likely take up the left wing-back role in the absence of Luke Shaw while Cuadrado would be expected to play on the opposite flank in the right wing-back role.

Cuadrado has predominantly played as a right winger for Fiorentina and chipped in with 15 goals last season while he impressed at the World Cup in a more advanced role, but he’s also capable of playing at right-back so he could be the perfect fit in van Gaal’s new 3-5-2 formation.

Dear MU management, please sign some quality players. Learn from Chelsea mgmt. on how they have very quietly done their buying. We need to be more aggressive before Sep 01 if we need to reach within the top 4 in this year’s PL.

Mr woodward and moyes’ successor louis van gaal are thwarting the thearter of dreams at manchester united. these guys doesn’t want to players instead they only add useless boys like tom cleverly new contract deal yet they failed to prove there potentiality. if they cannot manage to sign quality player like vidal, di maria, benatia, cuodrado et2 then they should be sarcked or else man u is going to be relagated, believe me fans.

ED-Woodward said united can afford to break bank for any player now we want him to break bank and get di maria for us.We united fans have seen a world class player in our team for so long and can not afford to loose di maria.Cuduado is good but not a world class player.

When will united fans realize that the reason you haven’t signed anyone decent is that no-one world class wants to sign for you… The people in charge obviously knew that strengthening was needed and would have been exploring all options before the window opened, only logical explanation is that nobody will sign as no CL and its a team in transition. Look at Liverpool who no this all to well…Also I wonder if they really have the money to break the bank after servicing the €700 million debt leveraged against the club??????

Why are we looking for world class talent? What we need is to strengthen our Defense and Defensive midfield then add one good player with flair, dribbling, pace, and good eye for passes with good shots. Liverpool never really had as much good players last season but they made good use of them. So LVG and ED note and work to strengthen our defense. 1CB+1RWB+1DM and Di Maria will bring us back.

Yapp..we need a strong and tactical defensive midfielder that agile too e.g song..when you observe united very well it’s only very few players that are playing with every zeal to make us happy as fans e.g wayn jones degea ander mata. So please LVG you need to be like SirALEX or even more to bring out the best of united. Yapp sign cuadrador dimaria and vidal if posible, nice signing on marcos rojo. OneLove MANCHESTER UNITED.

Can this management stop lying to us, how can they release money mounting to 200m pounds and fail to bring new top quality players? How? All they keep on playing at is buying time tacts at the very last minute they land a player who has finally is no value. am tired every man u about to sign. but with no time, Done deal chelsea, arsenal liverpool have signed a new player. what really happens for manchester is a nightmare i dont understand this board needs to disbanded.
