[Video Goals] Leicester 5-3 Man Utd: Di Maria Stunner Not Enough As Utd Crash

By on September 21, 2014

Manchester United let slip a 3-1 lead to lose 5-3 to Leicester City in a thrilling game at the King Power Stadium this afternoon.

Robin van Persie opened the scoring as he headed home Radamel Falcao’s cross before Angel Di Maria made it 2-0 just minutes later with a stunning chip. Leicester pulled one back almost immediately through an Ulloa header but United restored their two-goal advantage when Ander Herrera slotted home.

However, the hosts got back in the game in controversial fashion when Rafael was adjudged to have brought down Vardy in the area, but United felt the Foxes striker had fouled the full-back just moments earlier. Nugent tucked away the resulting spot kick before Cambiasso fired home a lose ball to make it 3-3 in the 64th minute.

Vardy then raced clear to put Leicester ahead for the first time in the game before United defender Tyler Blackett was sent off for a professional foul in the area, and Ulloa made no mistake from the spot to seal a dramatic 5-3 victory over the former champions.

I think that all those mistakes was all defensive error because for someone to have scored 3 goals and later be clashed with 5-3 shows that they have alot to do at their defense. Van Gaal please take note for a stitch in time saves nine…
