By on February 21, 2015

Manchester United let slip a one-goal lead to lose 2-1 at Swansea City this afternoon with Bafetimbi Gomis scoring a second half winner for the Welsh outfit.

United opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Ander Herrera fired into the bottom corner from 15 yards after being teed-up by Angel Di Maria.

The lead didn’t last long though as the hosts levelled things up almost immediately as Sung-Yueng Ki flicked home Jonjo Shelvey’s cross in the 29th minute for 1-1.

As United pushed for a winner, Swansea snatched the lead themselves as Shelvey’s long-range shot was deflected past David De Gea via the head of Gomis for 2-1.

United couldn’t find a way back into the game and the defeat sees them drop to fourth in the Premier League table after Arsenal’s win at Crystal Palace.
