Manchester United snatched a last minute victory over Newcastle United on Wednesday night thanks to a late error from Tim Krul.

The game looked to be heading for 0-0 when Krul failed to deal with a risky back-pass in the 89th minute and his sloppy clearance fell straight to Ashley Young who calmly slotted home the winner.

The victory was crucial for United at it ensured they kept pace with their top four rivals with Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all also registering wins on Wednesday night.

After the game, several of the United players have taken to social media sites to react to the win with David De Gea, Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini and goal-scorer Young all posting messages on Twitter.

Ander Herrera also uploaded a photo of him with Fellaini, Juan Mata and Adnan Januzaj on the plane back to Manchester with the midfielder saying they now have to turn their attention to Monday’s huge FA Cup clash with Arsenal, while Wayne Rooney praised the teams spirit and said it was great to see Jonas Gutierrez make his return from testicular cancer.
