QPR v Tottenham Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups, Prediction & Betting Tips
Tottenham take on QPR at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, line-ups, predicted score and betting tips for the game.
Tottenham will look to close in on the top four when they take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs recovered from their Capital One Cup disappointment against Chelsea last weekend with a narrow 3-2 win over Swansea City at White Hart Lane in midweek.
The victory ensured Mauricio Pochettino’s men kept pace with their top four rivals and they can move up to sixth-place in the Premier League table and to within just three points of Man Utd if they win their game in hand tomorrow.
QPR’s woes continued as they lost out 2-1 to Tottenham’s North London rivals Arsenal on Wednesday night to make it just one win in their last 11 matches in all competitions.
That disastrous run leaves Chris Ramsey’s side in 18th position in the table and three points adrift of Aston Villa so they desperately need a positive result on Saturday to give their survival hopes a boost.
Spurs have no fresh injury worries to contend with and Pochettino has a fully-fit squad to choose from.
The Argentinean has named the same eleven for the last two games and with no fixture until next weekend, he may do so again tomorrow.
QPR could be without Nedum Onuoha after he suffered a nasty cut to his cheek in midweek so Clint Hill is on stand-by to deputise in defence.
Darnell Furlong is a doubt with a calf injury so Armand Traore could come in at left back while Mauricio Isla is a doubt with a knee problem.
QPR 1-2 Tottenham: The hoops are in poor form of late and Spurs seem to be grinding out results. Despite the worry of fatigue setting in, I can see the North Londoners edging this one tomorrow.
Tottenham are the favourites to win the game at odds of 4/5 but if you’d prefer to bet on the exact score then our 2-1 prediction is on offer at 15/2. I also fancy Christian Eriksen to open the scoring at 11/2 and if we combine that with a 2-1 away win in a scorecast then we get very tempting odds of 25/1. Surely that’s got to be worth a couple of quid!?
