Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge are among the Liverpool players who have taken to social media to react to Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Swansea City.
Liverpool secured a vital 1-0 win over Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night thanks to a fortunate Jordan Henderson goal midway through the second half.
After the hosts had spurned a number of good chances in the first half, Liverpool dominated after the break and found the breakthrough when Amat’s attempted clearance rebounded off Henderson’s shin before looping over Fabianski and into the net.
Swansea couldn’t find a response so Liverpool got the win they desperately needed to close the gap on fourth-placed Manchester United to just two points while second-placed Man City are now also in their sights.
Several of the Liverpool players have taken to social media after the game to express their delight at the clubs latest victory, with Mamadou Sakho, Simon Mignolet and Jose Enrique all having their say on Twitter.
Striker Daniel Sturridge and skipper Steven Gerrard have also taken to Instagram to upload photos and congratulate Henderson on his ‘great finish’.
