[Video Goals] Monaco 0-2 Arsenal [3-3 Agg]: Gunners Crash Out On Away Goals

By on March 17, 2015

Arsenal came agonisingly close to pulling off a miracle comeback after beating Monaco 2-0 on Tuesday night but it wasn’t enough as we crashed out on away goals.

Having lost the first leg 3-1 at the Emirates three weeks ago, we needed to score at least three goals to stand a chance of progressing to the quarter finals.

We gave ourselves a chance after taking the lead just before half time when Olivier Giroud fired home from a tight angle after seeing his initial effort saved.

The comeback looked on when Aaron Ramsey came off the bench to drill home the second with just over 10 minutes remaining.

However, we failed to find that final third goal so the tie finished 3-3 on aggregate meaning we crash out on the away goals rule yet again.
