Chelsea moved seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a late Cesc Fabregas goal which secured a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

The Blues struggled to find their fluency for much of the game and it was the hosts who arguably had the better chances to score, with QPR having more attempts at goal and 4 shots on target to Chelsea’s 0 as we approached the final stages of the match.

However, a poor kick out from Rob Green feel to Eden Hazard and the Belgian took full advantage of the mistake, as he drove at in to the penalty area before cutting back for Fabregas to poke home an unlikely winner in the 88th minute.

Chris Ramsey’s men pushed for an equaliser but Chelsea held on to secure a vital win that restores their seven point advantage ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand.
