[Tweets & Photos] Chelsea Players Celebrate PL Title Win On Social Media

By on May 3, 2015

Chelsea wrapped-up the Premier League title with a narrow 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Fittingly, the Blues Player of the Year Eden Hazard was the man who got the only goal of the game just before half-time. The Belgian won a penalty in the 45th minute and although he saw his spot kick saved by Speroni, he was on hand to head home the rebound for 1-0.

Chelsea didn’t go on to get the second goal that would have made the game safe, but they managed to hold on to their narrow lead to secure the three points they desperately craved as it was enough to seal their first Premier League title in five years.

The players celebrated widely in the changing room after the game [see videos here], and the players have also taken to social media sites to express their delight at winning the title.

Cesc Fabregas, Oscar, Petr Cech, Willian, Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Juan Cuadrado, John Terry and Thibaut Courtois have all been on Twitter and Instagram sharing photos of the players celebrating and posting messages to their followers.

Check out what the players had to say here:
