[Tweets] Arsenal & Chelsea Icons Join Suarez In Paying Tribute To Steven Gerrard

Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas joined Luis Suarez and others in paying tribute to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard after his final game at Anfield.

It was an emotional day for Steven Gerrard as he bid farewell to the Anfield faithful after playing his final home game for Liverpool on Saturday evening.

The game didn’t go according to plan as after Adam Lallana had put the Reds in front, Crystal Palace came storming back to secure an impressive 3-1 victory.

However, the loss didn’t dampen the occasion as Gerrard bid an emotional farewell to the Liverpool fans as he prepares to bring down the curtain on a glittering career on Merseyside.

Players and former players from all over the globe have taken to social media this evening to pay tribute to Gerrard with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, Chelsea ace Cesc Fabregas and former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez among those to have their say on the midfielder.

Several of the current Liverpool squad have also been on Twitter and Instagram with Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Jose Enrique, Lucas Leiva and Alberto Moreno all saying kind words about their skipper.

Check out what the players have been saying:

The best ever player to play for liverpool. Is the king this guy both on and off the pitch. Wishing you all the best mate! We will miss you! @stevengerrard
