[Teams] Chelsea vs Arsenal: Confirmed Line-Ups For The Community Shield

By on August 2, 2015

Chelsea and Arsenal will compete for the first piece of meaningful silverware of the new season when they meet in the Community Shield at Wembley today.

Arsene Wenger’s men booked their place in the season curtain raiser after winning the FA Cup last season and the Frenchman has named a strong side for the game.

Petr Cech makes his first appearance against Chelsea since leaving in June while Hector Bellerin and  Nacho Monreal start in defence.

Theo Walcott is preferred to Olivier Giroud up front with Aaron Ramsey playing out on the right.

Jose Mourinho has been forced to leave Diego Costa out of the squad due to a hamstring injury so Loic Remy starts up front.

Here are the confirmed teams for the game:

Arsenal

Cech; Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Coquelin, Cazorla; Ramsey, Ozil, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Walcott.

Subs: Dubuchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Arteta, Giroud, Martinez, Iwobi

Chelsea

Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Matic, Fabregas; Ramires, Willian, Hazard; Remy.

Subs: Begovic, Zouma, Mikel, Oscar, Cuadrado, Moses, Falcao.

What do you think the score will be now you’ve seen the teams?
