[Tweets] Firmino, Coutinho & More Celebrate Online After Liverpool Beat Stoke
Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho are among the Liverpool players who’ve taken to social media this evening to celebrate their 1-0 win over Stoke.
Liverpool got the new season off to a positive start after grinding out a hard fought 1-0 victory over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
With the game looking like it was heading for a 0-0 draw, Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho smashed home a stunning winner from 25-yards in the 85th minute to ensure the Reds took home all three points.
Not only did it secure a vital opening day victory for the Merseysiders but it also avenged the humiliating 6-1 defeat they suffered to Stoke on the final day of last season.
After the game, several of the Liverpool players have taken to social media to celebrate the win with match-winner Coutinho being joined by Joe Gomez, Alberto Moreno and Roberto Firmino in reacting on Twitter.
Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet also took to Instagram to post a photo and message after Liverpool’s crucial victory this afternoon.
