Liverpool will play their first home game of the new season when they take on Bournemouth at Anfield on Monday night. Here is the side I think Brendan Rodgers will pick:

Goalkeeper: Simon Mignolet is almost certain to keep his place between the sticks with summer signing Adam Bogdan the No.2 goalkeeper on the bench.

Defence: Dejan Lovren put in an impressive shift alongside Martin Skrtel against Stoke City last week so I think we’ll see Rodgers stick with the same back-four this time around meaning Mamadou Sakho will be among the substitutes.

Alberto Moreno appears to have fallen out-of-favour and Joe Gomez was excellent on his competitive debut last week so he should keep his place while Nathaniel Clyne is also expected to once again start on the right.

Midfield: Liverpool’s new-look midfield of Jordan Henderson and James Milner is set to continue tomorrow night meaning the likes of Lucas Leiva and Emre Can will have to wait for their opportunities. Joe Allen is out for a month through injury.

Attack: Roberto Firmino could make his full debut after coming off the bench for the final 15 minutes at the Britannia Stadium last Sunday. If the Brazilian starts, Jordon Ibe is likely to be the man to make way.

Daniel Sturridge is still a few weeks away from returning to full fitness so Christian Benteke will once again lead the line up front with Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana likely to be in support in attack.

Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:

What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
