[Video Goals] Chelsea 4-0 Maccabi Tel Aviv: Costa Scores Stunner In Blues Rout

Chelsea eased the pressure on Jose Mourinho after securing a comfortable 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Eden Hazard fluffed his chance to open the scoring after blazing his early penalty over the bar but the Blues did finally have the ball in the net when Willian’s long-range free-kick somehow found it’s way into the far corner in the 16th minute.

Chelsea doubled their lead from the penalty spot when Oscar fired home on the stroke of half time with the Brazilian taking over penalty duties from Hazard following his earlier miss.

It was 3-0 before the hour mark when Diego Costa turned home a Cesc Fabregas cross in spectacular style with the striker volleying home with his back to goal. Fabregas then completed the rout late on as he was on hand to tap into the empty net after Loic Remy’s shot was saved.

It turned out to be the perfect night for the Premier League champions as Dynamo Kiev and FC Porto drew 2-2 in the groups other game.
