[Video Goals] Liverpool 1-1 Norwich: Ings Goal Not Enough As Reds Held

A frustrated Liverpool side were held to a 1-1 draw by Norwich City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon to pile the pressure on boss Brendan Rodgers.

The first half ended goalless after James Milner, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho all missed decent chances to get on the score-sheet for the hosts.

The Reds finally broke the deadlock shortly after half-time when Danny Ings raced clear to slot home his first league goal since joining the club in the summer after replacing Christian Benteke at the break.

However, the visitors levelled things up in the 60th minute when defender Russell Martin produced a smart finish to make it 1-1 following a corner.

Norwich had a great chance to take the lead just minutes later but Simon Mignolet produced a fine save while Coutinho failed to find the back of the net when clean through for Liverpool.

Neither side could find the winner so it ended 1-1 stretching Liverpool’s win-less run to five games in all competitions to leave then down in 13th place in the Premier League.
