[Video Goals] Tottenham 1-2 Arsenal: Flamini Scores Stunning Winner For Gunners

Mathieu Flamini turned out to be the unlikely hero as Arsenal got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

After a slow start, the Gunners took the lead midway through the first half when Michel Vorm could only parry Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s long range shot with Flamini on hand to tap home from close range for 0-1.

Tottenham then equalised shortly after half-time when Nacer Chadli’s cross from the left side was turned into his own net by Calum Chambers.

Both teams were pushing for a winner but it was Flamini who stepped up to be the hero as he thrashed home a stunning volley to win it for the visitors.

The win books Arsenal’s place in the fourth round draw and comes after back-to-back defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Chelsea.
