[Video Goals] Walsall 1-4 Chelsea: Pedro & Kenedy On Target As Blues Cruise

Chelsea eased into the fourth round of the Capital One Cup with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Walsall on Wednesday night.

The Blues opened the scoring in just the tenth minute when Ramires was on hand to head home at the far post after some good work from Brazilian youngster Kenedy down the left wing.

Ramires then turned provider as he played-in Loic Remy before the French international made no mistake with a clinical finish for 2-0 in the 41st minute.

Walsall pulled one back on the stroke of half-time when James O’Connor scrambled the ball home after Asmir Begovic could only parry a long-range free-kick.

Chelsea then restored their two-goal advantage shortly after the break and it was Kenedy who got it with the youngster cooly slotting home in the 52nd minute.

Substitute Pedro came off the bench to wrap things up with a late fourth to secure a 4-1 victory and ensure Chelsea’s name will be in the hat for the fourth round draw.
