[Video Goals] Man City 1-4 Liverpool: Coutinho & Firmino Blow City Away

Liverpool blew Manchester City away with Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino inspiring a superb 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.

The Reds opened the scoring in just the 7th minute when Firmino’s cut-back was bundled into his own net by the unfortunate Mangala and it was 2-0 in the 23rd minute when Coutinho slotted home after being found in the area by a stunning pass from Firmino.

Liverpool took control of the game just nine minutes later when the Brazilian attacker got a well-deserved goal after being teed-up by Coutinho in the 32nd minute.

City gave themselves hope of a comeback after Sergio Aguero fired home a stunning effort to reduce the deficit to 1-3 at half-time. However, the visitors wrapped up the three points when Martin Skrtel slammed home a superb effort in the 81st minute.

The win sees Liverpool climb up to ninth place in the Premier League table while City remain third and two points adrift of leaders Leicester City.
