[Video Goals] West Brom 1-1 Tottenham: Alli Stunner Not Enough As Spurs Held
Tottenham Hotspur extended their unbeaten run to 14 games but were held to a 1-1 draw by West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs came flying out the blocks and opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Toby Alderweireld’s long ball found its way to Deli Alli and the young midfielder nipped in to finish superbly past Boas Myhill for 1-0.
West Brom responded well and levelled things up shortly before half time when James McClean headed home a Darren Fletcher cross to make it 1-1 at the break.
Both sides had chances in the second half to secure a winner both either team could find a way through so it ended all square at the Hawthorns.
The result sees Tottenham remain in fifth position in the Premier League table and they now trail fourth-placed Manchester United by three points.
