[Video Highlights] Chelsea 0-1 Bournemouth: Cherries Stun Sloppy Blues

By on December 5, 2015

Chelsea’s disastrous season continued as they slumped to a shock 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

The Blues started slowly and it was the visitors who came closest to opening the scoring during the first half with Thibaut Courtois – back between the sticks after recovering from his knee injury – called into action.

Chelsea had their moments during the closing stages of the opening 45 minutes with Eden Hazard and Pedro Rodriguez both forcing Artur Boruc in to fine saves.

The hosts continued to be frustrated after the break and they were made to pay the ultimate price when Glenn Murray came off the bench to head home from close range following an 81st minute corner – although replays showed the striker was just offside.

Chelsea couldn’t find a way back so slumped to their eighth defeat of the season and remain just three points above the relegation zone, heaping the pressure on Jose Mourinho’s shoulders.
