By on December 14, 2015

Chelsea slumped to yet another defeat as Leicester City ran out 2-1 victors at the King Power on Monday night.

The hosts opened the scoring midway through the first half when red-hot striker Jamie Vardy got on the end of a Riyad Mahrez cross to fire past Thibaut Courtois in the 33rd minute.

Leicester then doubled their lead and it was their other in-form striker who got the goal as Mahrez twisted Cesar Azpilicueta before curling home a superb effort past Courtois for 2-0 shortly after the break.

Chelsea ensured it was a tense finish as substitute Loic Remy headed home a Pedro Rodriguez cross for 2-1 in the 77th minute.

However, the Foxes held on to secure yet another victory that sees them leapfrog Arsenal and Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table while Chelsea remain way down in 15th.
