Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey have been reacting online after Arsenal gave their title challenge a major boost with a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Emirates on Monday night.

Ozil took his assist tally for the season to an incredible 15 after providing the passes for both goals. First the German playmaker set-up Theo Walcott to open the scoring with a stunning effort before playing-in Olivier Giroud to fire home the second on the stroke of half-time.

City pulled one back thanks to a stunning effort from Yaya Toure but Arsenal held on to secure a vital win that sees them move five points clear of City and to within two points of leaders Leicester.

After the game, Ozil has taken to Twitter to praise the efficiency of the Arsenal performance and say that it was the first half display that proved to be the key to securing the three points.

Ramsey has also taken to the social networking site to hail Arsenal’s performance and wish his followers a merry Christmas, while Hector Bellerin, Joel Campbell and Mathieu Flamini have also had their say on the match.
