Arsenal will be looking to cement their position at the top of the Premier League table when they take on Newcastle at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech is a certainty to keep his place in goal after breaking the all-time Premier League clean sheet record against Bournemouth.

Defence: Gabriel was outstanding on Monday night and I think it would be a shame if he didn’t keep his place in the back four so we could see Laurent Koscielny recalled with Per Mertesacker given a breather.

Kieran Gibbs played reasonably well against the Cherries but I don’t think he’s done enough to displace Nacho Monreal from the left-back spot so the Spaniard should reclaim his place this weekend after being rested on Monday. Hector Bellerin should continue at right-back with Mathieu Debuchy out of favour.

Midfield: Calum Chambers showed encouraging signs in a new central midfield role last time out but with Mathieu Flamini set to return from a minor knock, I think we’ll see the Frenchman resume his partnership alongside Aaron Ramsey against Newcastle. Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta all remain on the sidelines.

Attack: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make way for Joel Campbell but otherwise I think we’ll see the same front four that faced Bournemouth. Alexis Sanchez could make his comeback next week but he remains on the sidelines for this game so Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil should support Olivier Giroud in attack.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:

What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
