Wayne Rooney and David De Gea are among the players who’ve been reacting online after Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-1 at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The Reds went ahead thanks to an Anthony Martial header before Gylfi Sigurdsson levelled things up but Rooney won it with a fine near post flick with less than 15 minutes remaining.

The England international has now taken to Twitter this evening to express his delight at making a winning start to 2016 while Bastian Schweinsteiger has also uploaded a ‘selfie’ with the striker and hailed his team mates ‘fantastic goals’.

De Gea, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young have also reacted on the social networking site while Young also thanked the fans for giving him a standing ovation after his impressive display this afternoon.
