Chelsea attacker Radamel Falcao has vowed to return ‘very soon’ from his troublesome thigh injury after posting an update on his Instagram account.

Falcao has endured a difficult season at Stamford Bridge since joining the Blues on loan from AS Monaco last summer with the Colombian international managing to score just once in his 11 appearances so far.

His time in West London has been hampered by a niggling thigh injury that’s kept the 29-year-old on the sidelines since way back in October of last year.

However, it looks as though Falcao could be closing in on making his comeback as the striker has taken to Instagram to tell his fans he hopes to be injury-free ‘very soon’ before thanking them for their support in recent months.

Falcao posted two photos of him working out in his gym along with a message that read:

Working on my recovery. I believe that everything is going to be normal very soon. thanks for the medic Staff. I really appreciate social media message that you send me.

Chelsea could certain do with Falcao regaining some form when he does eventually return to full fitness as Loic Remy has been struggling with a calf injury in recent weeks while Diego Costa was forced off against Everton on Saturday with a shin problem.

Falcao almost moved back to parent club Monaco at the start of the month but the French clubs vice-president Vadim Vasilyev is quoted in the Daily Mail as saying they pulled out of the deal due to his on-going thigh problems.

Falcao could still leave Chelsea during the closing stages of the winter window if he manages to get himself fit enough to pass a medical, but his exit would leave Guus Hiddink short of options up front so I’d expect Chelsea to bring in another striker if the Colombian does depart.
