Arsenal will look to keep their fading Premier League title hopes alive when they entertain Watford at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning and he’s given reporters a full team news and injury update.

The Gunners boss confirmed that Petr Cech will return to full training today after recovering from a calf injury that he sustained a month ago but a late decision will be made over his involvement tomorrow.

Wenger also revealed that Jack Wilshere is back in training as he looks to finally make his first appearance of the season after struggling to overcome a fractured fibula that he suffered in pre-season training back in August.

Tomas Rosicky is also on the comeback trail after suffering a thigh problem just 15 minutes into his first appearance of the season against Burnley back in February, but neither player is immediately available for selection just yet.

After such a long time on the sidelines, both Wilshere and Rosicky are going to need some time to work on their match fitness so they aren’t expected back in the first team squad until the end of April.

Santi Cazorla is back out running again as he steps up his recovery from an Achilles injury which delayed his comeback from a serious knee injury, however, the Spaniard is also still weeks away from making his first team return.

It’s also going to be a while before we see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as the boss has confirmed that he’s still not back running yet and it will be around three to four weeks before the midfielder will be back in contention.

So it looks as though Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla and Oxlade-Chamberlain could all be back in the first team set-up by the end of the month, which will obviously be a huge boost. However, let’s hope we still have a title to play for by the time they make their comebacks.
