[Video Goals] Liverpool 4-1 Stoke: Origi & Sturridge On Target For Reds

Liverpool warmed up for their Europa League clash with Borussia Dortmund by thrashing Stoke City 4-1 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp rested some of his key men ahead of Thursday’s crucial second leg but the hosts still put in an excellent performance and opened the scoring inside the opening ten minutes as Alberto Moreno riffled home from 20 yards.

Stoke levelled things up in the 22nd minute as Bojan ghosted in to head home unmarked to make it 1-1 before Daniel Sturridge restored Liverpool’s lead with a far post header following some good work from Seyi Ojo down the left.

Divock Origi then made it 3-1 shortly after half-time as the Belgian international headed home a James Milner cross from close range before the striker made it 4-1 when his cross-come-shot found the bottom corner.

The win sees Liverpool move up to eighth in the Premier League table with the Merseysider’s leapfrogging Stoke who drop to ninth.
