Arsenal legend Paul Merson has made his prediction ahead of our Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at the Emirates this weekend.

Last Saturday’s 3-3 draw with West Ham has left us trailing league leaders Leicester City by a mammoth 13 points and while we can cut that advantage to 10 if we win our game in hand, the title is all-but over as it will need an incredible collapse from the Foxes to see us overturn that deficit in just five games.

For that reason, Merson believes the pressure is off Arsenal now and claims that with Palace almost certainly safe from relegation, they will be concentrating on their upcoming FA Cup semi final with Watford so is tipping us to secure all three points tomorrow.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Merson says Arsenal will comfortably win 3-0 at the Emirates:

Arsenal are the best team in the world when the pressure is off. They will win this game because Crystal Palace are now in a position where they can afford to rest players ahead of the FA Cup semi-final.

They can lose this game heavily, it won’t matter. The manager, the players and the fans will move on to Wembley. Arsenal will win this game.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0

We’ll have to wait and see whether Merson’s prediction proves accurate but I actually think there is still pressure on the players as we simply have to finish above Tottenham. A win tomorrow would move us three points behind our North London rivals and put the pressure on them ahead of their visit to Stoke on Monday night.

If you agree with Merse and think Arsenal will win this weekend, then….
