Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has made his prediction ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Tottenham on Monday night.

Spurs head to Stamford Bridge knowing they need a win to stand any chance of keeping themselves in the title race and it could already be over by the time these two kick off if Leicester win at Man Utd on Sunday.

All Mauricio Pochettino’s men can do is pray for a favour from United tomorrow and go out and beat Chelsea in order to keep things interesting and cut the gap to four points with two games left to play.

However, while Chelsea have nothing left to play for after a disastrous season, the players have vowed to do all they can to stop their London rivals from claiming their first Premier League trophy.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson feels this will be an open game of football but is ultimately tipping Chelsea to come out 3-2 victors at the Bridge.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports, he said:

Chelsea v Tottenham Monday Night Football 8pm

I’m going to go for a Chelsea win and for there to be goals. I watched Chelsea at Bournemouth last week and they will let in goals for absolute fun, and Tottenham have to have a go and Chelsea are good going forward.

Tottenham aren’t going to go there and lie down, don’t worry about that. Even if Leicester have won they still aren’t going to go to Stamford Bridge and get embarrassed. It will be an entertaining football match.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-2

We’ll have to wait and see whether Merson’s prediction proves accurate but a Chelsea win would hand the title the Foxes, even if they lose at Old Trafford tomorrow, so it could be party time in Leicester come Monday night.

If you agree with Merse and feel Chelsea will win, then….
