Arsenal are set to hold talks with Real Madrid over a potential deal for Isco but the player may decide to follow Jose Mourinho to Manchester United, according to the Express.
Isco joined Madrid from Malaga in 2013 with a reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in Spanish football but his time at the Bernabeu hasn’t gone as many had hoped.
After a solid first season, the 24-year-old has fallen out-of-favour with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez all ahead of him in Zinedine Zidane’s pecking order and he’s only completed the full ninety minutes in 8 of his 34 La Liga appearances this season.
It’s led to speculation that Isco could move on this summer in search of a new challenge and it appears he’s set to be offered a fresh start right here in the Premier League.
The Express carry quotes from an Italian journalist called Emanuele Giulianelli who claims that Arsenal have already got an agreement in place with Madrid to hold talks over a potential deal for Isco this summer.
However, the Gunners could miss out as Giulianelli suggests that the attacker could be persuaded to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United should the ‘Special One’ replace Louis van Gaal as manager.
“I can tell you, there’s a sort of agreement between Real and Arsenal to sit down at the table in the summer,” Giulianelli is quoted as saying by the Express
“But the appeal of the Special One could convince the young Spanish player to join the Red Devils.”
The Express claim that van Gaal will be sacked and that Mourinho is set to join United on a three-year deal worth a staggering £60m, and the Portuguese coach is understood to be keen on luring Isco to Manchester
Mourinho and Isco worked together during their time at Madrid so we could see them reunited at Old Trafford if indeed the former Chelsea boss ends up taking over at United this summer.

That would be a real blow to Arsenal as Isco would be a fantastic signing for the North Londoners, with Arsene Wenger under increasing pressure to bring in some top class signings after a disappointing campaign.
