Jordan Henderson and Danny Ings have taken to Twitter to express their delight at getting back on the pitch after coming on during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at West Brom on Sunday.
Henderson has been out for over a month after suffering knee ligament damage during the first leg of the Reds Europa League quarter final win over Borussia Dortmund.
However, the midfielder has made a swift recovery and has now put himself in contention to play in the final on Wednesday after playing the final half hour at the Hawthorns this afternoon.
Henderson was joined in making his comeback by striker Ings who made his first appearance in over seven months having recovered from his own serious knee ligament injury that he suffered way back in September.
Henderson has taken to Twitter and Instagram to express his delight at getting back on the pitch alongside Ings and the Liverpool skipper says he can’t wait for the big night on Wednesday.
Ings has also taken to Twitter to say how happy he was to finally get back on the pitch after such a long spell on the sidelines and thanks everyone for their support over the last seven months.
