[Match Preview] Arsenal vs Stoke: Team News, Line Up and Predicted Score

Arsenal take on Stoke City at the Emirates this saturday, knowing fully well that any points dropped here, would deal a severe blow at their title-chances. Our home form has been terrible this season, so don’t go thinking this is going to be a walk-over!

Injury news:

Gibbs, Tommy-V, Almunia are still out of the squad. However Abou Diaby has returned to training and may feature against Tony Pulis’ men. It is not clear who will start in goal for Arsenal, but majority of Gooners would prefer Szczesny over Luke. So lets see what Le Boss decides….

Predicted Team Line-ups:

I’ll keep it simple and precise. We have to press like Barcelona. The tempo of the game from our side must be kept at a constant high level, and Song should be told not to move up ! Cesc and Nasri should both pull the strings from midfield, and if required Cesc can fall in deep beside Song, to initiate long-balls. Of course then the formation shall change to a 4-2-3-1, with Nasri in the middle. For me RVP is a complete striker and should be given some amount of game-time. Theo and Arshavin should provide us with some width, so I guess crosses won’t be that much of a problem. Chamakh if required can be brought on later.

Now the boss may choose to start, so in that case He will move into Nasri’s role, and either Theo or Arshavin will be replaced.

ARMOURY SQUARE PREDICTION: Arsenal FC 2-0 Stoke FC…I hope I don’t jinx the team, but I do have confidence that we can pick up all 3 points this saturday at the Emirates.

You forget that in the past 3 seasons, whenever Arsenal lose a game, they lose points the next game. I would go for a 1-1 draw. Pulis and his team will be really fired when coming to the Emirates, we’re the team they want to lose points and have been preparing for it

i can not see us winning.Everyone has a suggestion about our problems but is the solution that simple. We always want to get rid of some of our players but then real madrid or barca always see the potential in them.I believe most of our players will get into other top ten european teams. We say we need Jageika(world class) or any other english player but the fact is if english defenders are that good then we should not be so rubbish on the international stage.I believe tactically we are short in midfield and maybe we need a left footed player on the left in some games.Against manure JW should never have started. When you look at the goal we conceeded we can blame every person involved with arsenal bar our strikers because the fact is kosser should never be tracking so up the field to heard the ball.Against barca TV made the same error because when you watch the players positions before an opposition goalie kicks the ball only our 2 cb, song and sagna want to head the ball.Everyone else wants to get a chance at a second ball when it might be too late.I believe maybe aw needs to be playing djourou in midfield against the so called topp 4 sides along side song as barca use to do with yaya toure against chelsea.

I just can’t believe that people are actually saying they would still be starting Arshavin.

How about RVP sitting in behind Theo and van Persie, that gives Sami and Fab4 the space on the the wings and through the channels to play in Theo and Chamakh?
